Style

Accismus: A feigned refusal of that which is earnestly desired.

Example:  "Oh, no, I can't take your check for $10,000! That is far too generous!"

Categoria: Opening the secret wickedness of one's adversary before his face.

Example:  "Can we discuss the happenings between you and the woman you took out to dinner last night who was not your wife?"

Eucharistia: Giving thanks for a benefit received, sometimes adding one's inability to repay.

Example:  "Thank you so much for dinner! I've been eating nothing but crackers for three days. I wish I could repay the favor... Someday... Maybe..."

Repotia: The repetition of a phrase with slight differences in style, diction, tone, etc.

Example: "I have nothing. Nada. Not a thing. It's all gone. Bye bye. Adios."
